During operation room air is drawn in through a prefilter in the top of the cabinet to trap large particles. The air then flows through a 99.99percent efficient HEPA filter which provides ISO Class 5 (FED-STD-209E Class 100/M3.5) conditions (fewer than 100 particles 0.5 m or larger in each cubic foot of air). This air is projected horizontally out across the entire work area preventing contamination and providing a particulate-free environment. A convenient easy-to-read Minihelic II pressure gauge monitors differential pressure across the HEPA filter to ensure proper operation and alert the user when service is required. Spring-loaded filter clamps apply pressure evenly across the filter minimizing the chance for leaks. Light blower and electrical outlet switches are located within easy reach of the operator. Fluorescent lighting and variable speed blower(s) are standard. Constructed of corrosion-resistant epoxy-coated steel with melamine-laminated hard board work surface. Base stands are constructed of durable 4.5cm (13/4") tubular epoxy-coated steel and support loads up to 453.6kg (1000lbs.). Glacier white exterior. ADA-compliant.
