Introducing the PS-31 Binocular Night Vision Device (BNVD), a compact and lightweight dual-tube goggle designed to replace the legacy PS-15. Among dual-tube night vision goggles, the PS-31 stands out as one of the smallest and lightest options available. Equipped with high-performance Gen 3 image intensifier tubes made in the USA, the PS-31 enhances system resolution, reduces head-borne weight and improves overall operator situational awareness. It features a 50 degree field of view for maximum visibility in the field and auto gain capability for brightness adjustment based on environmental conditions. The PS-31 BNVD features independently pivoting tube housings, allowing operators to switch between binocular and monocular configurations. Utilizing both tubes enhances depth perception, facilitating easier navigation through terrain and operation of devices such as control panels and door knobs. Alternatively, the monocular configuration supports seamless adaptation to varying lighting conditions encountered in dynamic environments. The ability to pivot the tube housings against the helmet surface reduces profile size when stowed, enhancing operator safety and equipment longevity.
