Each tube automatically powers down when flipped up, and a standard AA alkaline battery provides up to 15 hours of operation, with an external battery pack included that extends endurance to about 50 hours. An integral infrared illuminator supports reading in complete darkness, and the UNVG mounts securely to standard dovetail headset or helmet systems for rapid deployment. The UNVG-51 variant expands the field of view to 51 degrees, offering a broad visual footprint without requiring repositioning.
